Schumacher set for F1 test debut with Ferrari

Earlier in the day, rumors of Mick Schumacher's Formula 1 debut surfaced, placing the 20-year old behind the wheel of a Ferrari auto in the days following the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The 19-year-old has been announced as a driver for the iconic Italian team on April 2 and will test for Alfa Romeo the following day.

Schumacher will drive the Ferrari SF90 and Alfa Romeo Racing C38 at next week's post-race F1 test in Bahrain.

The F2 championship gets underway in Bahrain as part of the support package for Formula 1 this weekend.

Initially, however, the 20-year-old did not want the attention that came with his last name, and started his motorsport career in 2008 using his mother's maiden name and went by "Mick Betsch".
