Moto G7 Power Hands-on Review: Huge 5,000 mAh Battery for $249

10 February 2019

The Motorola Moto G7 will be available for £239 exclusively on Amazon when it launches on March 1, 2019 in the UK. It has a 6.2” screen with 720 x 1,520px resolution. With a 5,000mAh power source, it promises more than two days of life on a single charge. Motorola announced its flagship smartphone Moto G7 and after that Google also verified and confirmed that the Moto G7 is going to join Fi soon. Of course, there are differences in size and weight, as Moto G7 Power is the heaviest of the four due to the huge 5,000 mAh battery inside, while the Moto G7 Play is the lightest and smallest.

The Power launches in the United Kingdom on March 1 for 179 pounds, serving up similar specs to the standard G7 but with a massive 5000mAh battery stuffed inside. All do run the Snapdragon 632, have fingerprint readers, and that clean version of Android we've come to expect from Motorola.

Lenovo-owned Motorola is anticipated to launch the Moto G7-Series at an event today in Brazil, with four models - Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power, and the Moto G7 Play.

One of the major selling points with the Moto G7 is battery life.

Here's all you need to know about the latest Moto G7 series.

The Moto G7 comes with 6.24-inch FHD+ (2270 x 1080 pixels) waterdrop notch display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. You've also got an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a screen flash and the notch at the top of this one is the least obtrusive of the three devices. Unlike the Moto G7 and G7 Plus, both the Play and Power models only feature one camera on the back. At its core is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card by up to 128GB.

All these smartphones run Android 9 Pie out of the box and sport a display notch of different sizes.

All of these phones feature notches, and while the general design is quite similar, some of them have thicker "chins" than others, and they also sport slightly different rears due to the different camera setups. The G7 also has 4GB RAM and more internal storage (64GB) than its siblings, along with a dual-camera setup on the back that offers a 12-megapixel main lens along with a 5-megapixel depth sensor for a better portrait mode experience (the other G7 phones will have a software-based portrait mode instead). A Snapdragon 632 chipset is once again in play, backed by 4GB RAM. Motorola says its new Moto G7 is 50% faster than its previous-generation Moto G6. And, if a once in a lifetime moment comes, you won't miss capturing it thanks to the 13 MP rear camera with PDAF and zero shutter lag, which focuses on your subject in the blink of an eye.

The Moto G7 Plus can be purchased immediately in Brazil and Mexico with Europe close behind.

The rear houses a dual camera setup with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixels for better depth of field.

These phones will go on sale in Brazil and Mexico starting from today and will be followed by India, Canada and U.S. starting from mid-February.

Other features of the Moto G7 include a fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Global Positioning System and a USB Type C port.

Created to take your best pictures ever and keep up with your fast pace life, the new moto g7 plus is all about class leading camera technology and responsive performance. Furthermore, the phone features 32GB of inbuilt storage with 3GB of RAM.
