Former Packers coach Mike McCarthy to sit out the 2019 season

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Dolphins remain the only teams yet to name their head coach for the 2019 season.

Former Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase has agreed to become the new head coach with the New York Jets.

"I'll be locked and loaded and ready to go for next year", McCarthy said.

Adam Gase looks on during a game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in September.

There were some questions about how experienced Rhule's staff would be, which led to some concerns on the Jets' side, NFL Network and the New York Daily News reported. My family's excited. We were eating dinner when I got the message [about the Jets], and they all started cheering.

Jurgen Klopp believes luck evaded Liverpool in Man City defeat
City was spared from going behind by just 11 millimeters (0.4 inches) of the ball failing to cross the line in the 18th minute. The vital factor for Liverpool now is that they bounce back immediately and prove they are worthy of being champions in May.

"I've always felt myself and I told you this, that I thought he had a lot of good qualities as a coach". That was indeed true, as McCarthy and general manager John Dorsey are extremely close from their years together in Green Bay.

He still had one year left on his contract with the Packers, so he will be paid in 2019.

McCarthy went 125-77-2 with the Packers between 2006 and 2018.

Following the Super Bowl title, McCarthy had a street named after him near Lambeau Field. Not counting Bill Belichick's one day stint in 2000, Gase is the first head coach hired by the Jets with past head coaching experience since Bill Parcells (1997).
