Bayern Munich confirm signing of Benjamin Pavard

10 January 2019

Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign French World Cup victor Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart this summer.

Bayern are now on their annual winter training camp in Doha as they prepare for the second half of the Bundesliga campaign.

Media reports in Germany put the transfer at 35 million euros (US$40 million) for the 22-year-old who can play at right-back or centre-back.

The defender will join Bayern on a five-year deal after they activated his €35m (£31m) release clause.

"I can confirm that the player will be joining the team on the 1st of July", Calciomercato quoted Salihamidzic as saying.
