West Brom offered encouragement in chase for Newcastle United striker

The 26-year-old forward has agreed terms and undergone a medical with the Premier League club as Rafael Benitez seeks to sew up his fourth signing of the close-season.

The deal should pave the way for Aleksandar Mitrovic to move to Fulham, providing the London club can stump up the cash.

"Mitrovic originally joined the Whites on loan at the 11th hour on deadline day in January, and went on to have a hugely significant impact in our promotion to the Premier League".

"I'm happy to the moon and back", he said.

"I have love for the fans".

Google , whose main services are also blocked in China, has likewise taken steps to expand its presence in China this year. Looking ahead, Facebook, which hasn't commented publicly about the China reversal, could still try to open the hub.

Newcastle will likely make a profit on the £14.5 million they paid Anderlecht for his services in July 2015.

It is not the first time the highly-rated Newcastle skipper has been linked with an exit and it is unsurprising to see the Chronicle state that the Magpies will resist any approaches for the 24-year-old, although it is hard to see them rejecting an approach worth over £30 million. They're unbelievable fans and I have a really good connection with them.

"This is a big club and past year we made history, we did big things, and I want to continue this".

Newcastle do not have the best finances, but once Aleksandar Mitrovic has been confirmed as officially leaving the club for Fulham, then they could potentially recoup around £20 million for him.

Mitrovic will hook up with his Fulham team-mates this week and could be in line to feature in their final two pre-season friendlies against Sampdoria and Celta Vigo. "We have reached an agreement to bring Mitro home", Fulham director Tony Khan said.
