The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stunned crowds as they joined the Queen for the opening day of Royal Ascot.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented the winning trophy for the 4.20pm race, the St James' Palace Stakes.

Meghan arrived by carriage with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Also in attendance were Prince Charles and wife Camilla Parker Bowles as well as the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

For Ascot, Meghan paired her white dress with black accents in the form of a thin belt that looped around the embroidered waist of the design, as well as a hat that boasted black netting and a leather bow.

June of every year marks one of the most important events in the royal calendar, the Royal Ascot.
