Chiefs select defensive lineman in second round of NFL Draft

28 April 2018

Derrick Nnadi, a former Ocean Lakes Dolphins went to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft. The Chiefs did not have a choice in the first round.

Nnadi was projected to be a fourth or fifth round selection, but Kansas City chose to take the defensive tackle in the third round.

Kansas City could still use help at cornerback, so general manager Brett Veach may not be done with that side of the ball. Twelve of those came in his final game as Ole Miss won the Egg Bowl.

'Smallville' actress Allison Mack charged with 'recruiting slaves for sex cult'
He also said that Mack and her " Smallville " co-star, Kristin Kreuk, were used as "poster girls for normalizing the group". As a cult enthusiast, I chose to look into the story more and see what Mack and Raniere were actually accused of.

Kansas City traded the 54th and 78th picks to the Cincinnati Bengals to move up eight spots and grab the second-team All-SEC defensive lineman.

Each year, it seems like each draft tries to one-up each other in surprising picks and trades.

In previous seasons, Nnadi showed the ability to get after the passer a bit more, so perhaps the Chiefs like what they see overall in his body of work in terms of getting a disruptor. He also logged 10 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
