San Antonio police are searching for 3-year-old twins who were abducted in San Antonio, triggering an Amber Alert Wednesday night.

According to police, Washington and the children's mother, identified as Lakisha Roby, got into an argument on Wednesday morning at around 1:35 a.m., at the BP gas station at 167th Street and Pulaski Road in Markam.

WBBM in Chicago reports the girls were found safe at their grandmother's home in Harvey. Both children are black with brown hair.

Investigators believe 3-year-old Lynn Roby and 2-year-old Jordyn Washington are with their father, 40-year-old Lynn Washington.

An Amber Alert was issued for two toddlers believed to have been taken by their father in northern Illinois Wednesday afternoon.

Markham Police Chief Mack Sanders said Robie and Washington argued in a auto shortly before she was shot.

The children were in the care of a family friend at the time of her death. Court records indicate that a judge put a protection order in place against Washington, banning him from any contact with the children.

He has tattoos on his neck, left arm, right arm and chest. Her family said she left the state to get away from Washington, but the courts forced her to come back to IL with the children.
