New York Giants Get Good News In Race For Saquon Barkley

Hyde was set to enter his sophomore season at Ohio State when he posted the tweet.

The former Ohio State Buckeye and San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde is expected to sign with the Cleveland Browns, according to Pro Football Talk's website.

ESPN's Pat McManamon reported that the Browns will still consider taking the Penn State product, though USA Today's Jeff Risdon believes that Cleveland is out of the Barkley sweepstakes. In 50 games over four seasons with the 49ers, Hyde rushed for 2,729 yards and 21 touchdowns on 655 carries. He played in all 16 games for the first time in 2017, with 938 rushing yards and career-highs in rushing touchdowns (eight) and receptions (59).

For some fans, the signing of Hyde also appears to have answered the question about the Browns using either the number one overall pick or the fourth overall pick of the 2018 draft on running back Saquon Barkley, who is arguably the top prospect in this year's draft.

'Black Panther' sequel is happening, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige says
That is certainly good news and we can't wait to know in what movies we can find Shuri, except for Infinity War! She says the movie has made "a massive splash" because such a representation of powerful women is rarely seen.

How this affects the Browns' draft will be interesting. However, by his senior year, he was a first-team All-Big Ten selection and even a third-team All-American.

The Browns are also negotiating to bring back Duke Johnson in their backfield, too, after he averaged 4.2 yards per carry in a backup role last season. Hyde is getting starters' money, as is Jerick McKinnon, who agreed to a four-year, $30 million deal with the 49ers.

The biggest concern for the running back is whether he can stay healthy.

Hue Jackson surrendering play calling duties was a good sign for the Browns this offseason. The team also is expected to sign offensive tackle Chris Hubbard once free agency opens. The back missed the final two games of his rookie season due to ankle and back sprains, was sidelined in Week 5 of the 2015 season with a fractured foot, and then a combination of a concussion, shoulder sprain and MCL tear kept him out for various games throughout the 2016 season.
