Was the hand injury Tom Brady suffered a couple of days before the AFC Championship game against the Jaguars actually legit or just another case of classic Patriots misdirection?

And it really was bad.

Tom Brady speaks to the media after losing 41-33 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII. Brady took a beating to his throwing hand which had Pats fans worrying.

The 40-year-old is now looking forward to spending as much time as possible with his family, a luxury the Brady family can't enjoy during the National Football League season.

Chelsea's loss has been Aston Villa's gain, though, because his experience has been pivotal in getting Villa to where they are in the table.

Brady, clearly, needed stitches and pins put in his hand to fix the issue.

Brady says the idea of maintaining his unprecedented performance while also being present for his family was at the crux of the project. Unfortunately for Tom Brady and Patriots fans, that's not how things worked out. "I know you're going to cheer so loud".

But really, we now know that Brady will succumb to peer pressure if his competitive drive is even remotely challenged.

New England wasn't so lucky two weeks later against the Eagles in the Super Bowl. "Time" had to be redone because it was originally filmed before the Super Bowl and had assumed the Patriots would win. Brady said he had lingering thoughts about the Super Bowl and what he could have done differently, especially on the second-down play with a little more than two minutes remaining. We didn't get the outcome we wanted. But, you know, I'm not quite in the rhythm of the offseason yet. My oldest son lives here in NY, three kids, and you're just always trying to juggle and you want to be there for them, and you want to be there for the hockey games and the soccer games. You wake up the next day, and your life moves on. "You've got to be able to allocate your time the right way, and there's a lot of people that really need your time and attention".
