VHP vice-president Sunil Parashar began a yatra from Shaheed Smarak in Agra on Wednesday but it was terminated quickly.

Later, a police team plastered a court notice on the doors of all the accused. He has been identified as Saleem.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Congress led by its national secretary and former MLA Vivek Bansal was stopped from going to Kasganj.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sadar, Devendra Pratap Singh informed that so far 38 persons arrested for violating prohibitory orders have been granted bail.

Bansal was going to Kasganj at the behest of the Congress central leadership.

Talking with ANI, Gupta said, "Contrary to rumours spread on social media, Rahul Upadhyay is alive". NDTV reported that the video, which was possibly shot from a rooftop building, shows armed men on the streets.

In the video, several gunshots can be heard and the police have said that they are looking into the video to establish the sequence of events and to find the men responsible for the clash.

Describing the clash on the morning of Republic Day as "unfortunate", Singh said what happened on subsequent days was a deliberate attempt to affect peace and tranquility of the district.

The incident started in Kasganj after a motorcycle rally taken out by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists insisted on removing the chairs arranged by a group of people in Kasganj.

"One of my friends called me and said there are rumours on social media about me getting killed during the Kasganj violence".

The Adityanath government has already replaced the district's Superintendent of Police. "Those indulging in anarchy will not be spared", he told mediapersons.

Kasganj police said Salim's brothers Wasim and Nasim have also been named as the main accused behind the killing of the 22-year-old man. Why did police and administration fail to stop it?

In Kasganj, where the situation is tense but under control, clashes between two communities had claimed one life.
