Retail Box leaks the specs of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus

15 January 2018

Sometimes leaks are obviously legitimate, and sometimes people go out of their way to dupe us with an elaborate hoax. Last year, the company allegedly made a private gathering during the MWC 2017 where the initial prototype of the Galaxy X was shown off. The gloves, the clinically white work space, the layout and font; nothing seems too suspect. During the launch of the Galaxy S8 smartphone, Samsung's mobile chief DJ Koh had that it was aiming to introduce a foldable smartphone in its Galaxy Note smartphone series by as early as 2018.

There's still a lot of information not here, like the chipset and new fancy features, so we'll have to wait for that before we make any major judgements about what the S9 has to offer.

According to the Amazon listing, Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime has a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 px resolution. Here is everything we know about the next big thing from Samsung.

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based smartphone comes in only one configuration, 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 256GB capacity. The retail packaging indicates a super speed 12MP Dual Pixel lens with optical image stabilization, same as the Galaxy S8, but with an aperture of f/1.5-f/2.4. No great stretch to assume the rumor is true, then. There were a couple of rumors past year that the Galaxy S8 would be able to shoot 1000fps slow-motion videos, so perhaps the company has perfected the technology for its sequel. The Stereo Speakers on the Galaxy S9 as well as earphones will be tuned by AKG.

Samsung will show the Galaxy S9 at MWC next month
Samsung rolls out last Android Oreo beta update to Galaxy S8 series; when will public version release?

There's no mention of any face-unlocking feature; not on the box anyway.

Koh's recent statements seem to corroborate an earlier leak that showed that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ would likely be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 platform from Qualcomm and that the devices would be announced in February. However, depending on the market and release timing, it is likely that the company may use the new Exynos 9810 chip.

Should we find other goodies, we'll be sure to update this post. According to the leaks so far, these Samsung foldable smartphones can not feature a glass panel, when it comes to design.

Super Mario Odyssey to get free 'Luigi's Balloon World' add-on
As you'd expect, in " Find It ", players will have the opportunity to find balloons placed by other players in their own game. Here are the Sunshine Shades and Sunshine Outfit, the Musician Hat and Musician Outfit, and the Knight Helmet and Armor.
