On Thursday Universal Pictures released the first teaser of the upcoming sequel, "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom". As an early Thanksgiving treat it seems, Colin Trevorrow has gone ahead and unveiled the first public footage from the film online, in the form of a short clip. We'll have to wait a few more months to find out for sure, but this clip will definitely tide us over for a while.and makes us want to own a pet dino, stat.

The film will feature returning characters from both Jurassic World, and the original film - particularly Dr Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum. "From our Jurassic family to yours", Colin wrote along with the tweet, tagging costars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released on June 7, 2018 in the UK, and June 22, 2018 in the US.

Country music legend Mel Tillis dies at 85

The baby raptor looks just like Owen's buddy Blue from 2015's Jurassic World, with all the matching spots and stripes, which could mean that it's a flashback scene, Gizmodo pointed out.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has been playing its cards close to the vest, but that may change soon.

It's not much and the weird angle and jittery camera suggests that Trevorrow is actually filming a screen showing the footage (possibly in an editing bay?). There's fair reason to be hopeful that Fallen Kingdom will be both smarter and scarier than its predecessor, for related reasons.
