North Korea Warns 'Spiritually Instable' Trump Against Reckless Remarks

North and South Korea are technically still in a state of conflict since the Korean War ended in an armistice, rather than a peace treaty, in 1953.

President Donald Trump ramped up his tough rhetoric against North Korea when he arrived in Japan on Sunday, saying that the United States and its allies are prepared to defend freedom and that "no dictator" should underestimate U.S. resolve.

"No nation should ever underestimate American resolve", said Trump, who never once mentioned the name, North Korea.

On Saturday, 15 Democratic lawmakers and one Republican issued a statement in response to Dumont's missive, also released Saturday, saying that they found the measures needed to destroy the North's arsenal "deeply disturbing" and urged U.S. President Donald Trump to stop making cavalier remarks about the tense situation in North Korea.

The U.S. president said he could not understand why a country of samurai warriors did not shoot down the missiles, the sources said.

Trump will instead visit Camp Humphreys, a military base about 40 miles south of Seoul. He said a decision would be made soon on whether to add North Korea to a list of state sponsors of terrorism.

In June, the Treasury Department declared the Bank of Dandong a "primary money laundering concern" for serving as a gateway for North Korea to access the U.S. and worldwide financial systems despite USA and United Nations sanctions.
