In the northern Indian state of Bihar, floods have killed 56 people since Sunday and affected more than six million, said Anirudh Kumar, additional secretary in the state Disaster Management Department. In Assam, flood related death toll has risen to 40. Heavy rainfall and floods have led to the death of 102 people till August 14.
