Chelsea , PSG open talks with Alexis Sanchez

06 April 2017

Arsenal forward Sanchez has yet to extend a contract which expires in the summer of 2018 with Arsenal and is increasingly being tipped to move on amid frustration at the Gunners' inability to challenge for the biggest trophies in the game.

The tabloid report that Chelsea are interested in signing Sanchez from Arsenal in the summer, but Conte was coy when asked about the reports during his pre-match press conference.

"I do not understand the anxiety".

'I don't see what suddenly that debate is about.

"I definitely believe Sanchez could be a Chelsea player next season". But with Alexis' contract entering its past year, their hands may be tied.

Buffett's appeal has attracted big money in China in the past. "But we're thrilled, and he's selling well". Buffett is also seen as "a non-corrupt, down-to-earth" person in the country, Rein said .

Meanwhile, Chelsea have reportedly made Alexis their main summer target but may struggle to convince Arsenal to sell to a local rival. Arsenal will not have any selection - if Chelsea would be the team which can be ready to pay £50m subsequently Arsenal won't let him find his contract out.

"People say, "Oh well, they won't sell to Chelsea", but they sold Robin van Persie to Manchester United so they won't be fussed about that". He is a world-class footballer so he would fit in at Chelsea. "If they can sign Sanchez for £50m and get £100m for Hazard then I think that is good business".

Wenger sees no reason for concern, though, and has stressed the attacker still has well over a year left on his existing deal.

Arsenal do not want to sell to a Premier League rival which may strengthen the hand of PSG or Juventus or other foreign suitors - including several Chinese clubs.

If Arsenal chose to let him run down his contract next season, they would be taking a real gamble with him as they could lose him on a free transfer at the end of next season.
