Truecaller, the Stockholm-based company that identifies spam calls and helps in speedy mobile communication, has announced a slew of new features and partnerships, including tie-ups with Google, ICICI Bank and Airtel to stay ahead in the mobile app race.
With the aim of becoming a full-fledged platform, Truecaller has now integrated a messaging app, Google Duo video calling, and UPI-enabled payments service for Indian users.
The company revealed that it will soon integrate with Google Duo, the standalone video-calling app announced by Google last May and launched on both Android and iOS a few months later.
The statement claimed that the partnership makes the Truecaller-ICICI Bank platform among India's largest mobile payment platforms with 150 million customers of the app gaining access to UPI-based payments. From the Truecaller 8 app you can send pre-defined flash messages to your contacts quickly.
Audio Calls haven't made it to our devices as yet, but should work similarly to video calls, though without video.
The latest Truecaller update brings in an SMS Inbox feature that lets you determine who's messaging you.Читайте также: III Apparel Group, Ltd. (GIII) Updates Q1 Earnings Guidance
To pay instantly using Truecaller Pay, all you need to do is open the Truecaller app and tap on Send money through UPI in the profile page. When you receive a text message, Truecaller now applies filters that identify the offending messages.
Another feature called "Truecaller Pay" in collaboration with ICICI Bank, will allow users to send or receive money over their mobile phone.
You can download Truecaller via the Play Store or App Store.
"@ICICIBank is the first bank globally to associate with @Truecaller in their maiden foray into financial services", ICICI Bank said on Twitter. Zarringhalam also confirmed that the video calling feature would comply with the safest and the most efficient experience technologically possible.
"These partnerships will make Truecaller a one stop shop for all communication and will help Truecaller evolve from an app to a platform, said Zarringhalam". It has partnered with ICICI Bank to launch a peer-to-peer payment solution for the populace of the country. Truecaller and Airtel haven't however revealed whether any subscription charges would be levied on existing customers for availing this service.
These users will get a Flash SMS about the identity of the number before the call hits the users mobile.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
