Things Families Can Talk About After "The Lego Batman Movie"

10 February 2017

Are you looking forward to The LEGO NINJAGO Movie? Those are the truths that drive The Lego Batman Movie, which is a spin off of 2014 Lego Movie, but that's largely irrelevant. He's not trying to be amusing, but he is, at times ridiculously so.

Animated comic superhero adventure featuring the voices of Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Ralph Fiennes. Click through to watch the first The Lego Ninjago Movie trailer. Warner Bros has dropped the first full trailer for The Lego Ninjago Movie with the legendary Jackie Chan as Sensei Wu.

That being said, the Bat-beatboxing was bit much, and while Zach Galifianakis gives a decent performance as the Joker, he doesn't really bring anything new to the role, with most of the Joker's laughs coming from his superb animation. Scratch that, it more than works; it's borderline brilliant.

The jokes come fast and the film will require multiple viewings to catch all of them, but that's OK, because watching this one several times won't be a chore.

This is the hero that we deserve and need in the Lego world: brooding, brilliant and brawny, and so over-the-top silly in all of these respects that it reminds us why we love the character and his complex shortcomings. I'm not trying to get sappy here and neither do the filmmakers at any point, but there is a strong message in there that is great for both kids and adults.

Is this new Selena Gomez song about Justin Bieber?
If Selena Gomez appeared recently in string, Bella Hadid proved to her that she had nothing to envy him, just like Kendall Jenner. After the network played host to Beyonce's record-breaking pregnancy reveal, it also welcomed the return of Justin Bieber.

All of this is handled far more effectively than some of the live-action comic-book films, especially those built around DC characters.

The film opens with an action scene that bears a striking resemblance to The Dark Knight Rises prologue. Alfred convinces him to finally train Dick Grayson, just as The Joker decides to rally every villain in Gotham City to take it over.

Also like its predecessor, "Lego Batman" retains the low-frame-rate stop-motion-inspired approach to the visuals that hearken back to amateur Lego animation videos made by home filmmakers for years. "Batman!" It makes the characters feel more real while incorporating aspects of comedy and pop culture.

"The Lego Batman Movie", spun off the 2014 monster hit "The Lego Movie", is a kinetic, silly explosion of insane ideas, where a metal Batman (voiced by Will Arnett) - not metallic, but imbued with the heavy-metal spirit and sometimes an electric guitar - is a badass loner who protects Gotham City with a cocky attitude and a slew of wonderful vehicles.

"The Lego Batman Movie" is packed with in-jokes that fans of Batman in all his incarnations, from "The Dark Knight" to the campy '60s TV series, will appreciate.
