Accused Orlando police shooter Markeith Loyd interrupts judge in court

21 January 2017

He interrupted the judge as she tried to read his charges and refused to answer questions.

As seen in the below video, Markeith had plenty to say during his first court appearance on Thursday, January 19.

"The lady in the black dress, can I have your name please?"

When a judge asked Loyd if he would like a public defender, he declined, saying he plans to defend himself. Soon subsequently, the judge requested him held without bond and advised the watchmen to take him away. And when she finally told officers to remove him from the courtroom, Loyd turned to the judge and said "f-- you!"

Loyd is said to have shot the officer, only to stand over her and continue shooting her "execution style", according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Clayton, who reported that she was going to arrest Loyd outside of a Walmart, was shot and killed moments later.

That vehicle has since been parked outside of police headquarters.

No charges have been filed yet in the killing of Orlando police Lt. Deborah Clayton.

Rick Perry faces Senate hearing for Energy Department post
Klotz, the current under secretary of energy for the NNSA, and that he hoped to see continuity in that agency. While Perry is expected to cruise through the energy panel, Democratic support is far from assured.

A Florida murder suspect who is accused of killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend and an Orlando Police Officer in two separate cases, burst into an expletive-laced rant during his initial hearing on Thursday, insisting on his innocence, the Associated Press reports.

Y'all making up s***, like I just went in there and shot this girl, endangering my family (unintelligible).

The judge confirmed that Loyd was speaking under oath, and said "everything you say is being recorded, sir".

In connection with Dixon's death, Loyd was charged with one count of first-degree murder with a firearm, one count of unlawful killing of an unborn child, one count of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. Loyd claimed that he was a hardworking man, and that cops beat him and took his eye, and said he wasn't resisting arrest when police found him.

".We are talking about a cold-blooded, ruthless killer who then took off and committed more crimes, attempted to kill a sheriff's deputy and also carjacked somebody".

Mina said it also gave a place for fellow officers to go and pay their respects, as well. "After they handcuffed him, and searched him, pulled off his body armor, he had a large bag of ammunition".

As Loyd approaches with his gun leveled at Clayton, firing as he walked, investigators said.
