In other Windows 10 news, Microsoft also this week released a new Insider Preview Build, which, among other changes, gives users more control over updates. Starting with this update you can now open up an InPrivate window for Microsoft Edge from the taskbar icon by right clicking.

Microsoft plans to revamp how privacy is managed in the upcoming Creators Update to Windows 10, both as part of the initial setup as well as the amount of data it collects in day-to-day diagnostics. It'll seem familiar if you've used Windows Phone or Windows 10 Mobile, but it's definitely welcome if you'd like to have a lot of app shortcuts.

Other apps and OS features, including Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Windows Update, PCI bus drivers, the Windows Kernel, and input devices are also getting improvements with this cumulative update.

Windows 10 Home users have exploited the metered connection setting since the OS's mid-2015 launch as one way to postpone forced updates and upgrades.

The Game Mode in Windows 10 was initially spotted in a recently leaked build 14997 of Windows 10.

As previously rumored, the anticipated blue light filter feature has officially made its way to Windows 10 in build 15002 and can be found in Settings. The lack of brightness controls for displays has been an odd Windows 10 omission, and users will likely welcome back this basic functionality. The idea: Delay large downloads that would exhaust the month's supply of allowed data until the user is in a location - a public hotspot, say - where the Internet can be accessed without penalty.

First and foremost, the update improves reliability of some apps, including Groove Music, which should now offer smoother playback in the background.

Still missing, however, is the ability for most Windows users to disable telemetry entirely, meaning that the central criticism of Windows 10's approach to privacy-that there's no way to disable data collection entirely-remains. At first, those codes just pointed users to a generic help page, but they've since been updated to be more specific. Now Microsoft is now expanding that capability to wired Ethernet connections, if wanted.

The Microsoft Edge browser is getting a bunch of improvements. The Tab preview feature allows users to scroll through the list of tabs using touch, a mouse wheel, or a touchpad. In addition you can now also put all the tab aside by just one click and reopen all of them by same.
